About the Role-

  • Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function. Oversee demand planning and management processes for new and existing products/SKU.
  • Review historical sales trends, take input on demand drivers & patterns from stakeholders, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast results.Provide support in developing seasonal demand forecasts and anticipate customers reactions to the promotions and discounts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional planning activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast and procurement plans to reflect updated Sales and Agronomy assumptions.
  • Closely work with CPCN Category Members, Planning Team, Sales Team and CPCN Procurement Team to improve forecast accuracy and inventory fill rates.
  • Maintain inventory levels based on future Sales trends and address demand related queries and issues in a timely manner. Own Inventory optimisation and Material Master tasks and reduce inventory write offs and logistics inefficiencies.
  • Schedule monthly forecast meetings with all Key Account Vendors as required and provide needful information and support for smooth operations.
  • Identify opportunities to meet Sales demands during constrained supply and reduce Unfulfilled orders levels with pre-alerts and close coordination with the Procurement Team.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Farm Solutions and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts and inventory optimisation..
  • Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy

 

Ideal candidate-

  • Candidates with minimum 3-5 years in Demand Planning & Coordination Role. Experience in Crop Protection & Seed companies for a similar profile will be preferred.
  •  Excellent in Microsoft Excel and handling multiple data simultaneously. SQL Knowledge will advantage.
  • Good Geography & Supply Chain Process  knowledge. (Preference -Agri space)
  •  Excellent interpersonal & communication skills 
  •  Excellent networking & relationship management skills.
  •  Business & financial acumen, ability to strategize. 
  •  Ability to work across functions, deep dive & execute.
